The new UltraMixer 3.1 is out and comes with plenty new features, which we are going to introduce shortly.
Read about all new features now:
1. Prelistening in the SamplePlayer
Besides the Preview-Player in the play lists and in the Archive itself, there is now a Preview-Player directly in the Sampler! It’s easy to prelisten samples over your head phones without getting noticed by your audience. This feature needs to be enabled. Just click on the head phone symbol to activate the Prelistening mode.
Right after the Prelistening mode is activated it is possible to play back samples over your head phones just by clicking the sample button. The well known Preview-Player opens up and plays this particular sample. Furthermore you have all those possibilities that are already known from the Preview-Player like seeking or time display. Even more, you can adjust the prelistening volume inside the Preview-Player.
The new “Special FX” (special effects) comes with four brand new live effects, which can be applied on a player with a playing title.
The Brake-effect slows the current title until it is stopped and it plays it back again. All that is done with the length of one beat/bar.
The ForwardSpin-effect simulates a fast forward spinning/turning of a vinyl. Once you left-click the effect with your mouse the ForwardSpin will be done entirely. In case you click right on the effect button, the effect will only be done until you released the pressed mouse button and the ForwardSpin-effect will be chanceled.
The BackwardSpin-effect simulates a fast backward spinning/turning of a vinyl. Once you left-click the effect with your mouse the BackwardSpin will be done entirely. In case you click right on the effect button, the effect will only be done until you released the pressed mouse button and the BackwardSpin-effect will be chanceled.
The Reverse-effect plays the current title backwards.
3. Statistics for the FileArchiv
With the menu “archiv ^” => “show FileArchiv statistics” you get to the statistics dialog. This dialog shows information about your music archive. Title count, Group count and count of different genres are only a first step.
4. Marking of missing titles
It’s often the case, if you change your music archive with a file explorer like Windows Explorer or Mac Finder to create inconstistent archives. Don’t worry about this anymore. UltraMixer will mark music titles that are present in the FileArchive but not anymore on your hard drive with an exclemation mark.
5. Saving groups as M3U and CSV
Groups or Playlists that are available in the FileArchive, can now being saved to a CSV (e.g. to import in Excel or OpenOffice) and to a M3U-Playlists.
6. Search with multipleterms
UltraMixer 3.1 gives you even more power to write search queries for the FileArchive in order to us multiple search terms. Every single word/term will be used to search in all columns of the archive. A special search for the title “Billy Jean” from Michael Jackson could be: “michael jackson billy jean”. In case you want to search for a specfic complex phrase which is only contained in one column, you just need to set up the serach terms in double quotes, e.g. “Billy Jean”.
